Ege leads birdie charge as five aces light up the season so far

Five events into the Cutter & Buck Tour season and the stats are already painting a vivid picture. Mats Ege tops the birdie chart with an impressive 76 birdies, holding a narrow lead over Adam Andersson on 73 and Ludvig Eriksson on 72. Close behind sit Albin Tidén with 71 and Lauri Ruuska with 70, making the top five almost impossible to separate.

The eagle leaderboard tells its own story. Calum Scott shares the lead with five eagles through the opening five tournaments, while Ruuska is not far behind on four — adding a big-play dimension to his already strong birdie numbers.

Perhaps the most eye-catching stat of the season so far is the number of hole-in-ones. Five players have found the cup in one shot, all at Infinitum Golf in Spain. Matias Honkala, Theis Poulsen, and Eriksson all aced the 6th hole, Jamie Tofte Nielsen made his ace on 17, and Oliver Suhr did the same on the 4th. That is a remarkable run of aces at a single venue.

Consistency has been just as important as brilliance. Only four players have made the cut in all five events: Ege, Andersson, Tofte Nielsen, and Fabian Wennerlöf. Making every weekend on the Cutter & Buck Tour is no small feat, and those four have shown they can perform week after week regardless of the conditions.
