Simonsen wins Trust Forsikring Championship by two points

Martin Leth Simonsen won the Trust Forsikring Championship at Lyngbygaard Golf Klub, finishing on +14 Stableford points — two points ahead of Jesper Sandborg, who came in at +12. The event, played from May 27–29, used the Stableford format.

Local player Bjørn La Cour Søborg and Swedish Anton Karlsson shared third place on +11 points, while Jesper Hagborg Asp finished fifth on +10. The win was comfortable enough for Simonsen, who kept a steady lead over the final round.

Out of 72 players in the field, 31 made the cut at +1p.

Simonsen has been the strongest player on tour this season. He also won the Big Green Egg Blekinge Open earlier in May and the INFINITUM ECCO Masters before that, plus a third-place finish at the Sand Valley Masters. Sandborg, who won last week's Fjällbacka Open, could not keep up this time but still had a strong result in second place.
