Lilliedahl takes SM Match title with strong final win

Oliver Lilliedahl won the SM Match by Upfront, a 64-player match play knockout tournament held at The National Golfresort from July 8 to 10. In the final, the AIK Golfklubb player beat Sebastian Eidsæther Syr 3 & 1, meaning he was three holes ahead with only one hole left to play.

Lilliedahl played well throughout the week, working his way through the bracket round by round to reach the final. His 3 & 1 win over Syr in the title match showed he was in control for most of the round and never let his opponent get back into the match.

Syr had a good run through the draw to reach the final but could not keep up with Lilliedahl on the last day. The two losing semi-finalists were also knocked out earlier in the day as the field was cut from four to two.

The tournament brought together 64 players at The National Golfresort, with names like Albin Tidén, David Lundgren, Jesper Sandborg and Morten Ørum Madsen among those competing in the knockout format. In the end, it was Lilliedahl who came out on top after three days of head-to-head golf.
